Currently, Flue Gas Desulfurization(FGD) is the most widely adopted and most mature technology in coal-fired power plants of the world.  Generally, a complete set of desulfurization system will use  three kinds of hydrocyclones with different roles.

Limestone classification hydrocyclone
As desulfurizer, before the limestone enters into the tower, it needs to pass through the closed-circuit grinding classification . Generally, its fineness -325 mesh content requires  more than 90%. The dedicated limestone classification hydrocyclone produced by Jinyang has the characteristics of continuous and stable work condition, fine classification particle size , efficient classification ,wear and corrosion resistance inner and long service life.

Gypsum hydrocyclone 
Whether it adopts gypsum, ammonia or calcium-sodium double alkali, the product after desulfurization needs to be concentrated, filtered and then separated continuously from the system. Commonly ,combining the hydrocyclone with the belt filter or centrifuge can get a dry heap of solid productAccording to the distribution of feed particle size , when Jinyang gypsum hydrocyclone processes different desulfurization products, the general design separation size is 20 or less than 20 microns. When the feed concentration is 5-20%,the underflow  concentration can reach 40-60%,the overflow concentration can reach 2-5%. It has characteristics of efficient concentration ,high underflow production rate ,wear and corrosion resistance inner and long service life.

Waste water hydrocyclone 
Part of the waste water separated from the desulfurization system needs to be concentrated to meet the demand of the follow-up waste water system. When the feed concentration of waste water concentration hydrocyclone produced by Jinyang is 3-5%,the underflow concentration is greater than 12-15% and overflow concentration is of 1-3%.
